Do you use custom binary cache? If yes and you happen to use nix-serve, try upgrading to the version from master, which might fix the problem.

If you are able to upgrade nix to the (not yet released) master version, you will get more detailed information about what's the problem.

If the above is not applicable, disable custom binary caches (substituters) in your nix.conf.
