Issue description

I installed kgpg on my home desktop plasma 5 pc (nixos).

If I login then KGpg throw an error: "An error occured while scanning your keyring"
If I try to start it manualy in the console, either it throws that message or nothing happens.
If I try to start it manualy in the console with sudo, the error message appears, however also the KGpg Assistant Window appears.

EDIT:
It has nothing to do with starting as normal user or with sudo.
If I change the gnupg path in the kgpg settings from gpg to gpg2, the error message disappears and the key generation works.

Technical details

  • System: (NixOS: 17.03.1057.c545296adc (Gorilla))
  • Nix version: (nix-env (Nix) 1.11.8)
  • Nixpkgs version: ("17.03.1057.c545296adc")

So adding gnupg1 (gnupg1compat) as dependency for kgpg would resolve this issue by default.

I think, the disappearing has something to do with Bug 348983 as described in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=348983.
