Module request: realmd

realmd package is now available in nixpkgs: #302069

We can now start the work on the NixOS module.
As realmd is hard to package and run, this is a follow-up ticket for module development.

Prerequisites: add realmd package, reorganize Samba module, add support for Samba AD DC in Samba module, fix oddjobd module

• realmd: init at 0.17.1 #302083
• nixos/oddjobd: enable dbus service to fix service startup #302195
• nixos/samba: only create /etc/samba/smb.conf when samba is enabled #302645
• nixos/samba: migrate to structural settings (RFC42) #302681

Second step: create the realmd module

Now working on Samba module to prepare the work for the Samba AD DC integration:

• nixos/samba: only create /etc/samba/smb.conf when samba is enabled #302645
• nixos/samba: migrate to structural settings (RFC42) #302681

I would like to use a Samba AD DC environment for the realmd NixOS test.

Nodes for the realmd NixOS test:

• 1 Samba AD DC node
  • Needs a Samba AD DC module (services.samba.ad-dc with enable and ensureDomain attributes)
  • The module will run samba-tool domain provision automatically to bootstrap the Active Directory domain
• 1 realmd client node which joins the domain controller and test that an AD user can connect on the node.
