Issue description

[clever@system76:~/nixpkgs]$ strings result/lib/libvlccore.so | grep cy68nbgc684n858d0h407hmscmpy85jc --color
./configure  '--disable-static' '--disable-dependency-tracking' '--prefix=/nix/store/7yn04lajw5kr6smbrnykh4mdfm0b.....

the bulk of its deps are now runtime deps, because its saving things like PKG_CONFIG_PATH in the binary

Please run nix-shell -p nix-info --run "nix-info -m" and paste the
results.
