chaOS Initial Release

The first version of chaOS is out! Download a plaintext or compiled version, or both! Two example scripts are included: launch library, and telnet module. These are featured in the tutorials at kos-chaos.readthedocs.io/en/latest/tutorials.html.

To install, unzip the download and drop the chaos/ or chaos_compiled folder into the ships/script/ folder. Move the chaos/boot/chaosboot.ks or chaos_compiled/boot/chaosboot.ksm into the ships/script/boot/ folder. Set it as your boot script
and you are good to go!

When you reload the vessel, you may have to manually re-run chaos/chaosinit to restore the previous state. It should boot to it automatically, but it might not. Running the file will reload whatever state was stored previously.
