This application is designed to be run remotely on a users Office 365 Pro Plus PC, via a System Center Configuration Manager (SSCM) package containing the source media for an Office 365 Pro Plus build. This ensures that the PC updates Office 365 Pro Plus from that SCCM package on the DP closest to it.

Setup SCCM Office Updates

Configures System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to configure Office Click-To-Run clients to use their closest Distribution Point (DP) for Office Updates.

IT Pro Scenario: For organizations that are looking to deploy office updates in a managed environment ensuring that users are using the closest Distribution Point. This will help to limit the bandwidth costs associated with pushing updates and is only useful for environments with more than one Distribution Point.

Update Office 365 Anywhere

This function is designed to provide way for Office Click-To-Run clients to have the ability to update themselves from a managed network source or from the Internet depending on the availability of the primary update source. The idea behind this is if users have laptops and are mobile they may not receive updates if they are not able to be in the office on regular basis.
