## Cloning the repository

When cloning the OLA repository, you may need to add the `-c
fetch.fsck.missingSpaceBeforeDate=ignore` flag to avoid an error about a bad commit (see
[this issue](https://github.com/OpenLightingProject/ola/issues/1660) for more background):

```shell
git clone -c fetch.fsck.missingSpaceBeforeDate=ignore https://github.com/OpenLightingProject/ola.git
# Or:
git clone -c fetch.fsck.missingSpaceBeforeDate=ignore git@github.com:OpenLightingProject/ola.git
```

You can also make this the default behaviour by modifying your global Git config:

```shell
git config --global fetch.fsck.missingSpaceBeforeDate ignore
```
