Given that a number low cost fixtures are re-badged, could there be a way to find these so that so as to save them being re-entered or lots of dupes bunging up the database?

This is the intention of Fixture Redirects. Part of reviewing new fixtures (#2429) is looking for existing fixtures or open PR's.
Hope this answers your question. If you spot a specific duplicate, please open an issue and let us know! 😃

Well, that's the thing, in my example, I have a cheap and cheerful light with the badge "Koot" on it, I think it is pretty likely you have something that already matches its needs.

But how do I find it in the DB ? So that firstly I can use the definition and secondly add the redirect from Zoox to the existing definition?

Could there be a way, for example, for me to search for all 7ch fixtures that have master, red, green, and blue as their last four addresses?
