OS: macOS Version: 0.3.3 Commit/Build:3f65f28 on HEAD
Reproducible in RCT2 (vanilla)? unknown
Specific to multiplayer? no
When hovering over some scenery, the clear scenery tool normally displays the amount it costs to remove these items.
However, nothing is displayed while the game is paused. Even if the player cannot normally remove items during pause, I don't see a reason why they shouldn't be allowed to see the amount.
Note that the amount will be displayed correctly if the "allow building in pause mode" cheat is active.
It appears to me that there is some logic that checks if an item is allowed to be removed and only then adds it's cost to the total. This should ignore the fact that the game is in pause and only exclude things like objects that are outside the park boundries.
