Criteria

Significant contributions to the project, such as fixing bugs or adding new features, can earn you various perks. The more valuable and impactful your contributions, the higher the chance of being recognized.

Exceptional contributions that go beyond basic fixes are classified as 'premium' and often involve creating impressive new features. The criteria for noteworthy contributions are dynamic, evolving as the community's collective expertise grows. This ensures that perks remain aligned with the current level of effort and quality within the community.

Roles

• Hoplite:

  • How to Obtain: Provide valuable insights, suggestions, or other non-code contributions that improve the project.
  • Perks:
    • A permanent place in the about window, including your full name and a referral link
    • You can post about your work and credit on social.
    • Discord role

• Spartan:

  • How to Obtain: Make code contributions that fix or add significant new functionality.
  • Perks:
    • All Hoplite perks
    • A shoutout from me on both X (Twitter) and LinkedIn
    • Connections with some established tech industry people (who are Discord members)
    • Better recognizability in the Spartan's Jobs Discord channel, a place for job posters and seekers
    • Premium commits may be awarded with a Steam key (Note: I buy the keys when I can afford it, so it won't happen for everyone)
