Issue - Enhancement

We want to start exploring the possibilities around adding polls in meeting threads. A user story might be something like:

During a Discussion phase I would like to be able to raise a multiple choice question and let meeting attendees vote.

Some initial exploratory work has already been made on this Figma file:

We need to explore further and answer more questions, such as:

  • How many choices will we allow? 2, 3, 4, unlimited?
  • How do we make sure all meeting attendees can see the poll, even if it has moved out of view because the thread has a lot of comments?
  • Will polls be surfaced on meeting summaries?
  • Will polls have a time limit? How do we define that? Maybe the poll closes once the phase/stage has ended?
  • Can anyone delete a poll once it has been added? Will this be limited to the poll creator and/or the facilitator?
  • Can polls be consumed elsewhere in the app, similar to how we have a view dedicated to Tasks?
  • and more...

Acceptance Criteria

  • Explorations (sketches, mockups, etc.) of the end-to-end UX of adding, editing, answering, and deleting polls
  • Sufficient feedback and iterations on these explorations
  • Created a prototype of the whole flow
  • Created Implementation issue

Estimated Effort

  • 24 hours
