To whom it may concern:

I am attempting to build perl on my computer. I am running Linux
7.0 and have run up against the following error while executing "make
test":

lib/io_multihomed....Operation now in progress at lib/io_multihomed.t line
108.
FAILED at test 6

This was the only test that failed. Runninf "perl harness" provided the
following data:

Can't load '../lib/auto/IO/IO.so' for module IO: undefined
symbol: PL_svref_mutex at ../lib/XSLoader.pm line 73.
at ../lib/IO.pm line 9
Compilation failed in require at ../lib/IO/Handle.pm line 241.

Running "myconfig" gives the following data:

I already have perl on my machine, but I am attempting to enable thread
support, so I am rebuilding perl in its entirety. If you can give me a
hand with this, I would certainly appreciate it.
