[STORY]
The Perl world will be a game in which you are a sigil. That is your name "sigil" and you'll be the main character. The main character must have long hair and beard(just like the one you would have if you've been writing code for 4 days non-stop).
The main character is trying to learn Perl and he has these weapons called:
Your characteristics will be Strength , Life and Patience(or Temper) , maybe also Social Skills but I don't know :P
There is a fairy which will help him along the way, and monks which he meets at the Monastery(we can advertise perlmonks.org here). Also at the monastery he can exchange perl points for weapons and for "food for thought".
Enemies will be BUGS , OBFUs , JAPHs if they fit on the screen. They will just show as textures as the point of the game will be to destroy them with point&click , just like Diablo or other well-know RPGs. Also , some other enemies may appear in the game ( we don't disclose them yet ).
To the aid of the main character there will be a big Moose( yeah , that's right , there is this big 4-legged creature which will halp the main character destroy the evil enemies ).
Along the way he will collect these points called Perl points, big bonus items will be Perl books (opportunity for advertisement, maybe the development of the game could be supported in this way) which will add a lot of points.
We can also make the user go in some "hidden zones" where some real Perl questions will be posed to him, and he will have time to

We need to release early, release often. We need to find someone talented with graphics to make textures. There is already someone very experienced with SDL ( kthakore ). I understand there are some friends that will help with Moose.
