At the POC meeting 11-22-11, we added the new term:
trichome development stage (PO:0025368): A plant structure development stage that has as primary participant a trichome.(POC:Curators). has_participant trichome (need to add has_participant relation)

This will be the parent term to the more specific classes of trichome development such as seed trichome development and leaf trichome development. See the specific trackers for discussion of those terms.
