1. Overview:

PlayFab SDKs for c++ based Cocos2d-x game development.

The cocos sdk has not yet been fully tested across all Cocos platforms. However, this list is improving over time.

  • These platforms are tested and should function very well:
  • win32
  • ios_mac
  • android
  • These platforms are not tested/working yet:
  • android-studio
  • linux
  • win8.1-universal
  • win10

For Android: AndroidSdk: targeting Andorid 5.0.1 (API 21). If you wish to target Android 6.0 (API 23), then you may need this fix: This seems to be a case where Google removed code that Cocos relies on. If you attempt to compile API 23 without the linked fix, you will probably get build errors.

2. Prerequisites:

To connect to the PlayFab service, your machine must be running TLS v1.2 or better.

3. Source Code & Key Repository Components:

This package contains three different versions of the PlayFab SDK.

  • PlayFabClientSDK - This version contains only client libraries and is designed for integration with your game client
  • PlayFabServerSDK - Contains server and admin APIs designed to be called from your custom logic server or build process
  • PlayFabSDK - Contains all APIs in one SDK, as well as a unit-test project

4. Troubleshooting:

For a complete list of available APIs, check out the online documentation.
