This is Financial Reporting Matrix version 7.0.0-rc1-4.

IMPORTANT! READ BEFORE UPGRADING YOUR REPORTS TO v7

To accommodate for new advanced features in future releases, we did some major changes to v7 internally. This means that you can upgrade from v6 to v7, but you CANNOT go back from v7 to v6. We strongly recommend you to do the following:

  • Make a copy of your reports / .pbix-files before testing this version
  • Test the upgrade in a test environment - DO NOT upgrade production reports immediately
  • If everything works as expected, you can go ahead and import the .pbiviz to Org.Store and use it in production.

How to Test

To test v7 without affecting other reports, we recommend turning on Developer Mode in Power BI, and then import the visual from file. This way, the visual will only affect the report you are testing locally. When you close and reopen the current report, it will revert back to the AppSource version.

...now, onto the good stuff :)

Final words

  • If you find any bugs, or anything in your existing reports should break, please let us know in the comments or @ pbi.visuals@profitbase.com
  • If anything breaks, close your report without saving, and all should be fine once you reopen the report.
  • Developer mode is a temporary setting, that will reset once you close your report.

Love,
Profitbase Power BI Visuals team
