Available From version 7.x.x.
- Turn ON in the format pane, and select position of the Download button:
- Click the download icon to open the export window:
After clicking Download, you will get an explorer window to select where you want to save the excel file.
The output in Excel will contain styling, formatting, values, backgrounds, and outlines as defined in Power BI. Row hierarchies will be grouped in Excel
Available From version 8.0.x.
New option to hide the download icon:
The icon will then only show when you hover over the visual:
In order to use this feature, an Power BI Admin needs to allow export from Custom visuals in the Admin Portal. Without this setting Enabled, export will not be possible:
