Unable to view reddit galleries that include links

In RedReader version 1.20, it is not possible to view reddit galleries that include links.

In the new reddit web UI, individual images can be annotated with optional URLs: screenshot

However, if this link is provided, tapping on the gallery in RedReader will navigate to the link instead of the gallery view. Reddit galleries that don't include links are viewable as normal.

Example reddit posts:

• Gallery that includes URL
  • Tapping on the gallery will navigate to example.com instead of the gallery view
• Gallery that doesn't include URL
  • Tapping on the gallery will navigate to the gallery view as expected

Is there a workaround to view galleries in the app even if they have links?
