Name Description

Allowed tools

Allows you to define a list of allowed tools that are considered as axes by the mod. By default, every tool that extends an axe will be recognized by default. If it doesn’t, you’ll have to add it yourself.

Note
This will only add values in allow list on top of the already existing default recognized tools, if you need to exclude tools look for the Denied tools.

The list will contain values under the minecraft resource location format :

  • modid:itemid for an item (eg: minecraft:diamond_axe).

Tip
You can find this info by enabling detailed info on items by pressing F3 + H and hover the item in your inventory.
  • #modid:tagid for a tag of items (eg: #minecraft:beds). To know the values you can look at the Minecraft Wiki for Minecraft tags, or look into the documentation of a mod.

Denied tools

This works similarly to the Allowed tools section except that here you define tools that will never be considered as tools by the mod.

Note
Deny list takes over the values defined in allow list. So if you defined the same item in allow and deny lists it’ll end up denied.

Preserve tools

This controls how the mod behaves when a tree is cut with a tool that is going to break.

  • No: The tool will be fully used and broken.

  • Yes: The tool won’t be fully used and be left with 1 of durability.

Require enchantment

Define if the tool must be enchanted in order to be able to chop trees with it (allow/deny lists still apply).

  • No: The tool will be fully used and broken.

  • Yes: The tool won’t be fully used and be left with 1 of durability.

Damage multiplicand

Defines how much damage is applied to a tool when a tree is broken. This value indicates a coefficient that will be applied against the number of logs present in the tree. For example:

  • 1: Will apply the same amount of damage as the number of logs broken.

  • 2: Will apply damage equivalent to cutting twice the number of logs.

  • 0.5: Will apply damage equivalent to cutting half the number of logs in the tree.

  • 0: This is a special value and will apply only 1 damage regardless of the number of logs.

Damage Rounding

How damage taken should be rounded if it isn’t a whole number.

  • ROUNDING: round to the closest whole number.

  • ROUND_DOWN: round down.

  • ROUND_UP: round up.

  • PROBABILISTIC: treat decimal fraction as a probability of rounding up (ie: 9.45 will have 45% chance of being rounded up to 10 and 55% chance of being rounded down to 9).

Speed multiplicand

Defines how long the tool will need to hit the log in order for the tree to be cut. This value indicates a coefficient that will be applied against the number of logs present in the tree. For example:

  • 1: Will take the same amount of time as if you’d break every log in the tree.

  • 2: Will take the same amount of time as if you’d break a tree with twice the amount of logs.

  • 0.5: Will take the same amount of time as if you’d break a tree with half the amount of logs.

  • 0: This is a special value and will take only the time of breaking one single log block.

Note
This is only applied when INSTANTANEOUS break mode is used.

Force tool usage

If set to true, you’ll be forced to use a valid tool in order to break logs.
