did you put in the power switching machine? It takes over the code in the batteries.

Edit: Hold on.. 'master' you say. I'll look into that. I never really used the master branch :-)

You are missing the switching station. That's what is wrong. :-)

o_O oh... what? what is the utility of switching station?
and "down converter" was removed, (hv down converter is very helpful) supply converter absorbs lv energy for convert in mv energy and not mv energy for convert in lv

The down converters didn't work after the merge. I disabled them.

No they are replaced by the supply_converter which is much better.
Edit: The supply converter functions like a funnel. What comes in at the top is converted to what is at the bottom.
HV directly to LV and vice versa is not possible. The other 4 combinations will work.

I can't power anything either. Maybe I messed up something in the merge. The switching station shows "PR(0) RE(100)" but nothing receives power.

@ShadowNinja it looks like you have no producers?
I have 5 different networks in my testing world at the different voltage levels. the basic ingredients are:
wires, switching station, solar array/geothermal/water mill/nuclear reactor, and someone using the power.
A battery is a good thing to have for storing excess energy but it is not required.
I just switched to the master branch and everything works as intended it seems.

I have seen some issues with the game itself though where any and all ABMs cease to be updated. In those cases a world restart is needed. I don't have enough knowledge of the C++ code (or the time) to debug this through the game engine. Usually the missing ABM updates are accompanied with 100% CPU utilization.

It seems to work now. Closing.
