Javascript - TDD

This projects is a study of TDD. We have a simple application of TDD using:

• Chai
• MochaJs
• Node.js
• Express

How To Run

To run this project on your machine you will need to run the command:

npm install --save-dev mocha chai
npm install --save express
npm install --save-dev supertest
npm install --save-dev regenerator-runtime
npm install --save-dev chai-exclude
npm install --save-dev sinon
npm install mongodb
npm install lodash
npm install --save-dev @babel/core @babel/preset-env @babel/register
npx mocha "src/**/*/*.test.js" --recursive --require @babel/register
npm run test

Connection to MongoDB

Set your URI connection string as a parameter on the "test-helpers.js" file on the line 3. Make sure you replace the and placeholders with your own credentials.

Test Results

  getUserByUsername
    ✔ get the correct user from the database given a username (849ms)
    ✔ returns null when the user is not found (479ms)

  GET /users/:username
    ✔ sends the correct response when a user with the username is found
    ✔ sends the correct response when there is an error
    ✔ returns the appropriate response when the user is not found

  isAnagram - basic functionality
