for me it seems that your set of game assets (files) is not complete, it's missing
the strings, which version of bfg are you using? the one from steam or ?

I'm using the one from steam

this indeed seems to lack some of the resource files.

BielBDeLuna Can you help me please! i need help

let's first establish this:
first check if the steam-provided .exe file does display the same font-related errors, and string-related errors (strings being those "str_**" errors you're seeing)

if the steam-provided *.exe file displays such errors then it's a steam related problem (the game lacks some of the *.resource files (which should all come with steam)) if not, then it's a RBDoom3BFG port related problem.

so, you check it out...

I already check it out like a month ago considering that i never tried to play doom 3 bfg edition with RBDOOM3.exe so basically what i'm trying to say is that doom 3 bfg edition with the normal exe it runs amazingly great at 120 fps without the str errors or any font related errors, the only time when those errors happen are with the RBDOOM3 exe ¿so do i have to wait for an update or a fix to this? or what can i do :C

I'm not 100% sure, but /maybe/ the open source code only works with the English version of the game and you need to set the games language to English on Steam (it might download some stuff then).

I have the steam version in spanish and that may be the problem so i'm going to download the english 'murican version

@DanielGibson

You should be able to just change the language in steam (right click on
the game in the library -> Properties -> Language)

The problem of the texts were that the game was in spanish but now it's in english and the only thing that's not fine it's the 1920x1080 resolution problem

we need to find a way to make RBDoom3BFG be able to use different strings in any language.

can you post an image of the rendered image?

Rendered image? what that means, sorry for the ignorance

@BielBdeLuna

I'm sorry, I meant a screen shot of the error.

You mean the error about the chooped screen i mean that i put the game in 1920x1080 and it appears that it's bigger than the screen itself but the screen is just the size of 1920x1080

@BielBdeLuna

the window is re-scalable in real-time, have you tried to set it in windowed mode and re-scale it back to 1920x1080?

@Nothing64

Yeah i've tried that with RBDOOM3 and it does not work

@BielBdeLuna

can you post a console dump after you see the error?

@Nothing64

actually it does not give me a error but it just chops part of the screen when like i only can see a half part of it or a middle part and that happens only in 1920x1080
