Join Us! Contribute to ATReference Open-Source Software

Welcome to the new home for the ATReference, an extension of the source core code of the Archivists’ Toolkit™ that supports the management of reference related activities in an archival setting, including registering patrons, recording visits and topics of research, and tracking researcher statistics and research products. For details on ATReference functionality, view Featured Functionality.

It is the hope of the Project Team that this project will provide an innovative solution for archival institutions, encourage wider use of the Archivists’ Toolkit™ by significantly increasing its functionality, and serve as a national model for contributing open-source technology for the benefit of the entire archival community. The new module and its source code are freely available to the archival community. For details on the ATReference software license and use, view Software and Document Licenses.

Out of the desire to make the ATReference as broadly applicable as possible, the Project Team welcomes input from the archival community.

We are always looking for eager beta testers willing to try out the new features and offer feedback! If you would like to participate in beta testing, please check out our feedback section of the Download and Beta Test wiki page or contact Sibyl Schaefer directly (sschaefer@rockarch.org).
