HOW TO INSTALL

  • Copy the contents of the "Better.Than.Nothing.BTN.beta.version.1.03.7z" file to a Micro-SD card formatted in FAT32 with allocation size 32.
  • Put the card in the console and turn it on. It will boot with a screen indicating that it is preparing the first boot (creates the cache memory file), then a screen with the name of the image and then it will jump to the main system menu. Once this is done, you have to turn off the console, then transfer the games to the card and that's it.

UPDATED 12-07-2024

I am attaching the file "Fix.PSP.zip" because I was informed that the PSP games did not appear in the gamelist. To solve it, you must copy and paste the contents of the file to the root of the Micro-SD after doing the main installation. When asked to overwrite the file, click YES.

UPDATED 13-07-2024

I am attaching the file "Fix.SEGA32X.zip" because I was informed that the SEGA32X games did not appear in "games" section. To solve it, you must copy and paste the contents of the file to the root of the Micro-SD after doing the main installation. When asked to overwrite the file, click YES.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • To make the standalone Pico-8 emulator work you need buy pico8 raspberry pi 32bit code and put "pico8_dyn" and "pico8.dat" in "App/pico/bin" in your MicroSD card.
  • This time pico-8 standalone has not been added as an alternative core in the gamelist because the controls do not work correctly and some buttons make it go into "console mode" of pico-8 and you cannot exit from there (blocking the game and forcing the emulator to close).

CHANGELOG (UPDATE 3) - 27/06/2024

  • Fixed RetroArch language and set it to English by default.
  • Added Pico-8 standalone emulator in the "App" section. There are 2 options, normal screen and full screen (Thanks to Ninoh_FOX).

HOW TO INSTALL

  • Copy the contents of the "Better.Than.Nothing.BTN.beta.version.1.02.7z" file to a Micro-SD card formatted in FAT32 with allocation size 32.

#1 Note: in version 1.02 RetroArch is configured in Spanish. The file "RetroArch.-.English.Language.7z" has been attached to set the default language to "English". You only have to copy its content to the root of the Micro-SD card after having copied the content of "Better.Than.Nothing.BTN.beta.version.1.02.7z". What it will do is replace the "retroarch.cfg" file.

  • Put the card in the console and turn it on. It will boot with a screen indicating that it is preparing the first boot (creates the cache memory file), then a screen with the name of the image and then it will jump to the main system menu. Once this is done, you have to turn off the console, then transfer the games to the card and that's it.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • For systems like DC, PSP, N64 and NDS it is not recommended to play for long periods as the console heats up, and these systems are not really meant to be played on this console.

CHANGELOG (UPDATE 2) - 14/06/2024

  • The PCSX standalone emulator has been added as an alternative core for the Playstation system (thanks to Ninoh_FOX).
  • The standalone Picodrive emulator has been added as an alternative core for the Game Gear, Master System, Mega Drive, Sega CD, SG-1000 and Sega 32X systems (thanks to Ninoh_FOX).
  • The PocketSnes emulator has been added as an alternative core for the Super Nintendo system (thanks to Ninoh_FOX).
  • Added the DraStic emulator for the Nintendo DS system (hotkeys appear when starting the emulator) (thanks to Steward Fu).
  • SORR v5.2 (Streets Of Rage Remake) has been added to the "Apps" section (thanks to Steward Fu).
  • The controls of all systems have been reviewed to use analog control in the appropriate systems.
  • An app has been added to turn the blue LED on or off (thanks to Ninoh_FOX).

  • L2 and R2: Fast scrolling.
  • START + L1/R1: Adjust brightness.
  • SELECT + L1/R1: Adjust volume.

  • GAME BOY: Use R2 and L2 to switch color palettes and R1 to speed up the game.

To load a save state when starting a game, do so after the Unibios loading screen to avoid corruption. If corruption occurs, you can reload the state after exiting and re-entering the game.
  • CAPCOM (CPS1, CPS2, AND CPS3): BOM's switch files have been used. Although FBA cannot change them, it can read them, so games like Alien vs Predator and the first D&D are in Spanish, while games like SFA 3 have proper difficulty and one-credit settings.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • For systems like DC, PSP, N64 it is not recommended to play for long periods as the console heats up, and these systems are not really meant to be played on this console.
  • Remember that you can switch cores when loading a game. If a game doesn't perform well with one core, try another. The Miyoo system does not allow saving core assignments (something we cannot remedy).
By default, Arcade loads games with the "mame2003_plus_libretro" core, but some games may need others. For demanding games, use the "km_mame2003_xtreme_libretro" core, and for others, "fbneo_libretro" may be necessary. This requires experimentation.
  • After exiting sleep mode, both background music and screen brightness do not return to default values (this is not an image fault but a console issue).
  • If the analog control has "drift," it is recommended to calibrate it in the system settings until it works correctly.
