Ethical, Legal, and Security Considerations

TeamDolphin has considered multiple ethical, legal, and security issues that could potentially arise with the distribution and usage of the Dolphin Art Application. Our considerations and stance on these issues are listed below.

Ethical Issues

Our app only access local folders while in use and does not connect to the cloud in any way at this current time. The app as an art drawing program is not intended to be used for any form of discrimination, or illegal activity, but we are not able to limit how a user will use our app to create images. We do not endorse this in any way.

Legal Issues

This software is not intended for importing and manipulating images from others and claiming as your own original work. The user is solely responsible for how they intend to use the app. The images created in the app and original work by the user are not owned or claimed by our team.

The Dolphin Art Application does not connect to the cloud, and thus data stored by the user is not collected and distributed to any external users. TeamDolphin does not store personal information outside of the user’s local storage system.

Security Issues

The software only keeps .png images imported from the local file system on the phone, that is the only type of file that it should be able to interpret and access. The application does not currently connect to any cloud services the privacy and security concerns extend to who currently has access to the physical device. The users project files are stored in a single folder in the user’s local storage, and currently are not connected to any cloud services.
