I started out working in outdoor education, and while I greatly enjoyed my work and learned valuable skills like teamwork and on-the-fly problem solving, I began to feel like I didn't see a future for myself in that career. So, after giving it a lot of thought, I decided that I needed to make a change.
I spent a lot of time looking for an excellent program to learn software development. It was something I had some previous experience with and knew that it was a field that I enjoyed and picked up on very quickly, and I felt that I would have room for growth that I didn't feel I had in outdoor education.

TasteBuddies is an ASP.NET web app designed to help answer the age-old question: "What's for dinner?". Our app simplifies meal planning by offering a community platform where you can effortlessly discover and decide on delicious meal ideas.
- Designed and built using agile development including working in sprints, daily standups, story grooming, code reviews, and team retros
- Planned using wireframes and user stories, as well as a GitHub Project Board
Message Logger is an MVC application where users can create and log into an account to log messages. These messages can be edited and deleted, and users can also see statistics about the site such as the most commonly used word in users' messages.
