Evince seems to be picky regarding the file system mount type on ubuntu 12.04:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/1297105
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/1061966

It seem that docker is using a mount type that evince dislike, witch is quite annoying. I could also be related to docker + the file sys on my laptop. I am puzzled.

@pbellec : I would suggest that we use a lightweight pdf viewer like xpdf (I've tested it) instead of evince in docker.

We could choose the viewer at startup,

if (xpdf exist): use it else use evince

Good idea. The name of the pdf viewer is defined in psom_bg_vars. You can test the presence of the viewer and assign the one that exists, as part of psom_gb_vars.
