This is a guide for installing IRAF on Macs running macOS Catalina and above, and especially for the ARM based M1 Macs.
This guide was made in response to the difficulties faced by the author while installing IRAF on an M1 Mac, so as to help the IRAF users in smooth installation of IRAF on M1 Macs. The guide was made completely based on personal experiences and may require corrections. If any corrections are found, please open an Issue/Discussion thread on this repository or feel free to contact the author on the email address mentioned in the guide.
