WHY are these changes introduced?

Navigation example for the App.

WHAT is this pull request doing?

It took me hours to get this to work, not be cause it is hard, but because of lack of documentation. It is good to have it ready for users.

This is awesome, I wasn't aware you could add navigation items from the app, thought you always had to go via the partners dashboard.
