Spade v0.16.0-Beta Pre-release
Pre-release

Major bug and performance fixes. Not much else to mention.

Spade.jar will run standalone with the Core plugin packaged, but Spade-Minimal.jar will require you to install Core separately (or you could leave it out completely, but then you get no editor functionality).

The version of Core packaged with Spade.jar can be downloaded separately here for use with Spade-Minimal.jar, although you might be able to switch it out for a later version, assuming no plugin breaking changes happen between now and then.

But unless you know what you're doing, chances are you want Spade.jar.

As always, please report any bugs you find or features you want to see in the next version.

Spade v0.15-Beta Pre-release
Pre-release

This semi-stable release has been made in order for people to test out the program, provide feedback, find bugs, and come up with idea for tools or editing functions they want to see in 1.0.

The editor is hopefully stable, and there are plenty of basic tools available in the Core plugin. However, you should be aware that there is still a lot to be added (even if most of it doesn't make it into 1.0). Effects are especially lacking at the moment.

But that's where you, the testers, come in. If there's some functionality you would really like to see, PLEASE suggest it in whatever location is easiest for you. (issue tracker, the thread at java-gaming.org, etc.)
I'll do my best to get as many of the good ones in for 1.0.

Spade.jar Probably the one you want. The basic editor and the Core plugin packaged together.

Spade-Minimal.jar Spade without the Core plugin. Not really useful unless you want to use a different version of Core than the one provided with Spade.jar

If you want to install Spade-Minimal.jar but still have the Core plugin, download the plugin from here and put it in a folder called 'plugins' next to Spade-Minimal.jar, or in ~/.spade/plugins. Spade will automatically detect and load it on startup.
