Add a hub task for dichotomous keys #3881
Comments
TODOs: * Include metadata section like source hub? * Support sorting by column in the keys list (might depend on if we need to page that list) * Make 'last updated' text nicer (maybe like /leads/list?) * Make 'Is public' an editable checkbox in the keys list? (Is that something other tasks do?) * Implement * show entire key on one page, html * show entire key on one page, for printing * download markdown and/or latex versions of a key Right now it seems like the two 'entire key' options should go on the radial navigator for a lead, but the download(s) should not, but I'm not sure about that. If everything can go on a radial then there's no need for the Options button, but I'm thinking if at least one of those wouldn't go on the navigator then we might as well list all of them as Options along with the download(s) option.
I would prefer to have it as a part of Observation Matrices Hub. Which could potentially be renamed. |
Disagree here. One might transcribe historical keys and never use Observations. I suspect you're thinking of other ways to visualize connections b/w the two that we'll work out later. |
I am thinking in terms of grouping OTUs into a key or matrix. It is the same process, I select a group of OTUs (or Collection objects) to add to a key, and do some operation on the group of those OTUs (Adding scores). I may use the same group of OTUs to build a matrix, dichotomous key, or the image matrix. I prefer to do all those operations in a single place. Historical keys is just one of many possible use cases. |
Hub is just a hub to guide you for context, it's not where we do work like adding things to a key. |
Sounds like there will be radials for whatever we might want to add.
