Once upon a time ST would just freeze when saving some files.
Since it always left some random .subl???.tmp files in the same dir I figured it would be something with atomic save. After disabling it, I got the following message (but it didn't freeze anymore):
Sublime Text
---------------------------
Unable to save C:\Program Files\Sublime Text 3 Portable Beta\Data\Packages\AAAPackageDev\file_conversion.py
Error: Der Prozess kann nicht auf die Datei zugreifen, da sie von einem anderen Prozess verwendet wird.

OK
(Translates to: Error: The process could not access the file because it's being accessed from another process.)

Here, we are talking about a bug with the atomic_save setting/functionality. In #379 we are talking about disabling that by default. It's related, but not similar.
