It's weird, this does not happen for me. The selection is preserved when the find panel opens. Regardless of What is your ST version and OS? |

This seems related to #1022 - when opening the find panel, the entire contents of the Can also replicate by opening the find panel, then double clicking a word in main view, the find panel's selection disappears. Then double click on a word in the find panel, the view's selection disappears. Therefore, closing as a dupe. |
