Note that the next version of AndroidX core should add a similar compatibility class: see https://android.googlesource.com/platform/frameworks/support/+/refs/heads/androidx-main/core/core/src/main/java/androidx/core/app/PendingIntentCompat.java (not included in release 1.9.0).
I recommend to use it in the future instead of creating a custom class.

PendingIntents created in the app immutable on Android 6.0 and later. This prevents issues withPendingIntents occurring when targeting Android 12 and later in Set compileSdk and targetSdk to 33 (Android 13) #9306.Fixes the following issue(s)
