The latest version cannot play on LibreTube 0.20.1 without HLS. #3196
Comments
You need to enable piped's proxy currently if you want to use dash |
@FireMasterK |
It's likely really slow, but will eventually load due to throttling by YouTube. |
@FireMasterK I have another server with an older version, and this server is working fine. |
Does the issue happen on the piped website too? There were some bug fixes to the UMP decoding logic in the proxy, try updating it again and see if it persists |
Web player is fine. |
That's weird, can you reproduce it on the official instance on libretube? |
@FireMasterK |
Yes. |
When DASH is active: |
The data center is located in my local city. Web player is fine. Thanks |
@FireMasterK
The same as before. |
I had similar problem. But now app works fine.
I also happen to have hi-speed internet connection. So, my app doesn't suffer from any buffering problems. |
Enabling HLS makes the app work again but with some pretty severely degraded performance comparatively |
Background audio uses dash so this also breaks audio mode :( at least videos play though |
Was facing the same problem, enabling HLS works. @dtolia I don't using LBRY is strictly necessary for the player to work (at least in my case). As jake says, the audio mode is unfortunately broken. |
Same here |
Fixed with TeamPiped/piped-proxy@a9bc07e, huge thanks to @AudricV for finding the issue! |
Thanks its workin fine now. |
Dash works again, but still not with proxy disabled. |
A few days ago, videos stopped playing. All the metadata appeared fine, only the videos wouldn't play, there'd be a few seconds of the spinning circle and then nothing. I tried multiple instances. Just turned on HLS, now it works again. Wouldn't it make sense to fall back to HLS automatically after a while? |
