| ## Why Me? | ||
|
|
||
| I'm not the savviest technical expert of DeFi but there is no need. What matters for this program is to be able to articulate DeFi's comprehensively to an outsider, and I've been doing this a lot already and always looking to improve. I've been around for a while and I'm laser-focused on the community. | ||
|
|
||
| I was increasingly getting worried about seeing the behaviour of the new entrants in the space. Then I looked at the media they were consuming and I understood - profit is the sole driver of most publication of the space. | ||
|
|
||
| So how about we fix this ourselves? How? **Simple, we get money out of the equation.** Just like my other initiatives, DYED is free. The main "expense" is a few hours of my time a week Í'm glad to dedicate to the community. | ||
|

| DeFi France est une fabuleuse aventure, et sa force a toujours été sa spontanéité. En Octobre 2019, lorsque le groupe est né, la structure était totalement informelle et cela suffisait bien. | ||

| Aujourd'hui, nous avons de plus en plus de monde rejoignant le groupe, avec des niveaux d'expertise et des attentes différents. Il convient donc de structurer notre présence pour la rendre plus accessible. | ||
|
|
||
| En ces temps d'emballement sur les marchés, les medias cryptos se montrent de plus en plus cupides, et toujours plus partiaux. La force de DeFi France est sa dimension organique, et nous entendons le démontrer. Nous sommes convaincus que la communauté peut produire des contenus de très haute qualité, dépassant très largement le niveau des publications professionelles françaises. | ||
|

||
| **L'objet de la seconde année de DeFi France est donc d'instutuer DeFi France en media !** Nous voulons proposer un media alternatif crédible qui ne répond qu'à la communauté et l'ériger en force inconstestable face aux journaux et youtubeurs guidés par leur bourse. | ||
|
|
||
| DeFi France 2.0 est donc une charge militante ! De notre coté, on vous promet une chose : on se mobilise, on rameute et on va occuper le terrain. Nous allons impliquer beaucoup plus de personne, densifier et diversifier notre offre. Le but du plan 2.0 est de faire émerger de nouveaux visages au sein de DeFi France pour se renouveler. | ||

Nous avons de nombreux enjeux, mais je pense que le principal est de trouver un mécanisme de "réputation" au sein de la communauté. À défaut de pouvoir rémunérer nos contributeurs, je pense qu'il faut faire en sorte que contribuer à DeFi France soit bénéfique et valorisant pour ceux qui sont motivés. | ||

| Last week, a new Monolith team member joined and not the least: Vincent. Vincent is our new Product Manager, and he wants to catch-up with DeFi. As we first chatted, I asked him if would be willing to share his learning with everyone. He agreed, and so here we are - I’m finding myself **designing a DeFi discovery program based on weekly missions**. | ||
|

||
| Here’s how it will work: | ||
|
|
||
| 1. **Each Monday**, I’ll publish a Mission Statement. It includes a DeFi mission (surprise!), as well a quick 2-3 min audio to provide some guidance on how to pull it off. I’ll also include relevant links to learn more on the services used. | ||
| 2. **Each weekend**, Vincent & I will have a ~30 min call to debrief the mission. The call will be streamed lived and available afterwards. Shortly after our call, I’ll write up a mission report based on Vincent’s struggles and questions. The report will be published in the weekend and include the audio. | ||
| 3. At any time, you can hop in **[the program dedicated Discord channel](https://discord.gg/4zt75cb)** to chat with others taking on this journey & get a ping for each mission/report published. | ||
|
|
||
| Pretty straightforward right? While I’m keen to help Vincent onboard, I love this plan and it enables anyone to partake. | ||

| ## What kind of DeFi will you learn? | ||
|
|
||
| With this project, my initial goal was to help Vincent gain more and more understanding of DeFi. I'll hold you to the same standards. **This program won't teach you how to find the next pump on Uniswap nor to get rich overnight**. | ||
|
|
||
| It will, however, help you understand what decentralised finance is, why it matters, and how to use the key services of the space efficiently. I think newcomers will also appreciate having directions (missions) during their onboarding phase which can be overwhelming. | ||
|
|
||
| This program is entirely free - you are here for knowledge and should not expect any reward other than understanding DeFi better. | ||
|
|
||
| So stay tuned for the first mission statement this afternoon! I’m eager to see how this goes. | ||
