Installation for Windows:
- download
- unzip
- run votecoin.exe
How to upgrade from previous GUI wallet version:
- Close old wallet
- Install new wallet into a separate directory
- Generate new address (shielded address is recommended) in new wallet
- Close new wallet and open old wallet
- Transfer funds to the newly generated address
- You can erase old wallet directory from disk after you confirm funds are transferred to your new wallet.
All users are encouraged to upgrade by moving funds to new wallet, for huge performance improvements.

How to upgrade:
This version is not backward compatible with any previous release, so there is no way to upgrade. You can do this:
- Run new wallet, generate some transparent address, close new wallet.
- Then run old wallet, send coins to the address generated in previous step.
- Then you should have your coins in your new wallet and you can delete the older version.

Upgrade:

if you are upgrading from textmode wallet, you should unpack GUI wallet to a new folder and then copy wallet.dat file from your old (textmode) installation to the "VoteCoin" directory under the new GUI wallet dir.

If you upgrade from previous version of GUI wallet, feel free to copy this new release over your old install, overwriting all files. Then erase file votecoin.conf in the "VoteCoin" directory, it will be re-created for you on first start, and a new internal password will be generated for better security.
