I installed all packages via DNF and YUM (https://wiki.qemu.org/Hosts/Linux#Fedora_Linux_.2F_Debian_GNU_Linux_.2F_Ubuntu_Linux_.2F_Linux_Mint_distributions), but it fails to compile at some point https://pastebin.com/mdd6EATS

Hmm, looks like a stack buffer overflow in QEMU code though.

The issue seems to have been resolved on QEMU upstream.

I will merge qemu upstream to master once QEMU 6.0 is released.

UPDATE: merged on master

In the mean time, you can workaround by adding --disable-werror to ./configure's argument.

thanks, it worked, but I've a problem (I think it's fedora related, or lzfse make install doesn't work for fedora), qemu wasn't finding liblzfse.so, I've fixed it just by moving liblzfse.so to /usr/lib64 (the make only moves it to /usr/local/lib64), so if someone is having this problem, here's a little fix, I'm closing this issue since I've got qemu working.

In commit 00f05c0 we gave the TYPE_XLNX_CSU_DMA object its
own class struct, but forgot to update the TypeInfo::class_size
accordingly. This meant that not enough memory was allocated for the
class struct, and the initialization of xcdc->read in the class init
function wrote off the end of the memory. Add the missing line.

Found by running 'check-qtest-aarch64' with a clang
address-sanitizer build, which complains:

A DMA descriptor is previously filled in RAM. An I/O access to the
device (frames TrungNguyen1909#22 to TrungNguyen1909#16) start the DMA engine (frame TrungNguyen1909#13). The
engine fetch the descriptor and execute the request, which itself
accesses the SDHCI I/O registers (frame TrungNguyen1909#1 and #0), triggering a
re-entrancy issue.

Fix by prohibit transactions from the DMA to devices. The DMA engine
is thus restricted to memories.
