This repo is for processing the Zooplankton data collected from S FL MBON cruises in the FL keys so that it can be published to OBIS as a Darwin Core Archive.

The data is segmented annually.

2019 Raw Data is being entered for 500 um and 200 um (currently no/few 64 um examined) Currently in a box reop UNPUBLISHED
2020 Raw Data is being entered for 500 um and 200 um (currently no/few 64 um examined) Currently in a box reop UNPUBLISHED
2021 Raw Data is being entered for 500 um and 200 um (currently no/few 64 um examined, only partial year) Currently in a box reop UNPUBLISHED
2022 Some collected. Samples are not processed. . .
  • zooplankton 2016-2017 was identified by microscopy done by Jaime
  • zooplankton 2018-2021 was identified by microscopy done by Natalia

data processing steps

  1. collect the data using the sheets (TODO: link the raw data collection spreadsheets here
  2. run the relevant scripts to convert the collection sheets into a DwC archive
  3. upload to OBIS via one of the IPT nodes listed here (Caribbean?).
