thank you very much |
👍 Thank you. 🙏 |
Does not work on my 2021 iMac with M1. |
Yes, it's currently Intel only. I need do modernize the dependencies. |
doesnt work for me with Mojave 10.14.6 and Mail 12.4 (3445.104.21) I read on another issue in this project it can only work when disabling SIP, i dont want to do that, is that necessary or not? |
Brilliant! Thanks a million |
When I run the postinstall script (from this package https://github.com/barijaona/UniversalMailer/releases/tag/v/3.0.1), I first get: temporary dir: /tmp/UM-installation-tmp After commenting out the tmp dir actions (the bundle is already at the desired target anyway), I get: The domain/default pair of (/System/Library/Frameworks/Message.framework/Resources/Info, PluginCompatibilityUUID) does not exist Adding this patch (which is not included in this package) to the postinstaller does not change anything: @barijaona can you help me with this? What am I missing to get it to work on Mojave? |
@jaronaz can you try manually removing the existing installation at /Library/Mail/Bundles first ? |
Yes, that's what I do every time before running your UniversalMailer.pkg |
@jaronaz Please have a look at /System/Applications/Mail.app/Contents/Info.plist You should have something like : <key>PluginCompatibilityUUID</key> inside this file. Can you provide me these numbers ? As an alternative, just post the above-mentioned file here. |
That file does not exist on my system, this one exists: /Applications/Mail.app/Contents/Info.plist
@barijaona Thanks for your help! |
Planning to support macOS Monterey? Adding UUID from beta10 did not give a result. Thank you for your work! |
I haven't tried Monterey yet… Will do my best on Monday. |
My version v/3.0.3 should work with macOS Monterey. Be warned however that I have not yet tested it extensively. |
Thanks for the prompt update. What are your plans for Apple Silicon? I'll buy a new Mac soon. Do you need any help? |
Hi, the latest version runs great on my M1 iMac. |
@barijaona - unfortunately your (awesome) fork doesn't work for 12.0.1 -- is there any chance you have a UUID entry that will bring back compatibility? Thank you! |
I am on 12.0.1 Do you have any other version ? |
Strange - I’m running the same version numbers as yours below. Must be something else on my end.

Hello. I am running the same version as you point out (on an M1 Mac) but I am unable to enable the plugin. When prompted with "Do you want to allow UniversalMailer.mailbundleto access any files on this computer that Mail can access?", I select 'Allow Access'. When the Mail app restarts after enabling the plugin checkbox, I am greeted with this message: ""UniversalMailer.mailbundle" cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified. macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware." My options are to 'Move to Trash' or 'Cancel'. Cancelling disables the plugin. Am I missing an important step in the install? Thank you. |
Thanks for the awesome work here @barijaona! Sadly, I can't seem to get the latest 3.0.3 update to work on a new 14" MBP running macOS 12.0.1. |
Hi, thanks so much for the great job. I'm in macOS Monterey 12.0.1 (21A559) but I can't enable the plugin. Someone else happens? |
@barijaona! Thank you so much for bringing back UniversalMailer! Is v3.0.3 compatible with macOS Mojave and Apple Mail 12.4? I do get the following error message: Incompatible Plug-ins Disabled |
@howdytom I have the same issue as you, same macOS version and Apple Mail. @barijaona asked me the contents of the Info.plist and gave it here: #138 (comment) but got no response. Can anybody confirm that this plugin can (or can't) run on macOS Mojave and Mail 12.4 (3445.104.21) ? Thanks 🙏 |
I willing to pay to get it fix. I am looking for a solid solution to show consistent font types on Windows Clients. |
Me too, I will pay to get the plugin enable. |
I will gladly pay to get this working on MacOS 12.1 and Mail 15.0 (3693.20.0.1.32) on Apple Silicon (M1 Pro). |
Hi everyone, @barijaona has kindly worked on a solution. It consists of manually pasting the add-on in the mail folder. See the instructions here: <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
I don't understand, after installing the package 3.03, it is already located here /Library/Mail/Bundles/UniversalMailer.mailbundle. |
I can no longer get the plugin to work under Monterey 12.1 and Mail 15.0 (3693.40.0.1.81). |
Hi @Rico-L @barijaona has kindly worked on solving this problem with the plugin. Apparently, the problem is related to the installer package. This update works on macOS 12.1 https://www.swisstransfer.com/d/3a026666-d25a-4ac6-bf18-903e283c2c90 Manually copy, through the Finder, the UniversalMailer.mailbundle folder into /Library/Mail/Bundles, and try to activate the plugin. Best regards. |
Thanks @jorgehezd and @barijaona !! I've tried the new build on my M1 MBP and it works great on macOS 12.1 with Apple Mail running in native mode (not Rosetta). |
Nice!!! |
@barijaona Thank, I watched your discussion at Twitter. Great work! I gave the new version a try. It's not compatible with MacOS 10.14, though. I guess this is Monterey fix only. I'm still getting 'Incompatible Plug-ins Disabled' message |
Thanks - this versions works great. Thx 👍🏼 |
Unfortunately I still have the same issue with the latest release. |
@barijaona Hi, can you send the link for download again? The "https://www.swisstransfer.com/d/3a026666-d25a-4ac6-bf18-903e283c2c90" its not working anymore. Thanks for the help! |
There are new releases. You can check them here. https://github.com/barijaona/UniversalMailer/releases Best! |
PERFECT! Thanks! |
FYI, the 3.1.0_beta1 installer worked for me after updating to macOS 12.2. Thanks @barijaona! 🎉 |
...but still not working on a M1 mac, right? |
I'm using on M1 Mac right now and works fine. |
Great! So it is a Layer 8 problem :) What I did: I downloaded the beta build an installed it via the pkg file. But it does not appear in the Mail extensions. Is there more to do than this? I am appreciate any advice. |
Where are you looking for the plugin on mail?
Where are you looking for enable the plugin on Mail App? |
Preferences -> Extensions |
Found it! Sorry... Preferences -> General -> Manage Plug-in... Thank you! |
Hi @barijaona. I recently updated de Mail to 16.0 and it gave the incompatibility message again. Do you have a new version of Universal mailer? |
Hi, the version 3.06 works with Mail 16.0 |
Does this version support the newest Mac OS 12.4 ? |
As the original maintainer has not given any news lately, I have built a new version of UniversalMailer.
You can download an installer at : https://github.com/barijaona/UniversalMailer/releases/latest
