This was by far the most satisfying automation. It was a struggle at first getting right servo's and horns. Well to be honest never found right horns just used locktite to attach horn to servo gear. My design is by far not new. Basically it is faily simple I used ESPEASY for the software to flash to a Esp8266 and this code to control Servo. The Servo's I used had a voltage range of 5 to 7 volts dc but i found 5 volts caused the servo to jitter and turn slow so I put a buck convertor in line and dailed in the voltage to 6.5 ish and they work fast. Basically I use by blinds in conjunction with my home modes. They are half open in the morning, fully open middle of the day, half open in evening mode, and closed while we are sleeping. I dont have to do anything they listen for those triggers.

They also close when the you are in bedroom getting dressed and taking a shower.

They also monitor temperature outside and close if its too hot outside.
