Gentoo Installation

Eco-logical edited this page Jan 24, 2016 · 1 revision

Gentoo users can install VerliHub from Overlays that contains additional ebuilds for Gentoo. Overlay is maintained by VerliHub developers so if you find a bug please report it from Git hub issues page.

First you need to install layman to manage overlays:

echo "app-portage/layman git" >> /etc/portage/package.use
echo "app-portage/layman" >> /etc/portage/package.accept_keywords
emerge layman

Now retrieve the overlay list:

layman -L

Now you need to modify your /etc/make.conf file adding this line:

source /var/lib/layman/make.conf

Then add verlihub overlay

layman -a verlihub

Using the ebuilds

To install verlihub just type:

emerge -av net-p2p/verlihub

To download a specific version:

emerge -av =net-p2p/verlihub-0.9.9a

To exclude plugin compilation (in this case iplog and lua) use:

USE"-iplog -lua" emerge -av net-p2p/verlihub

You can also try VerliHub on GIT using live package (9999):

echo "=net-p2p/verlihub-9999" >> /etc/portage/package.unmask
echo "=net-p2p/verlihub-9999 **" >> /etc/portage/package.accept_keywords
