We welcome users improving the site and have provided the below guide to assist you in this

A good idea is to review issues that either have been flagged as needing work or are currently being worked on via our issues board.

Fork

  1. Make your changes.

  2. If you've taken your time best to make sure your copy is up to date:

Pull from VirtualFlyBrain/VFB:master to you repo

  1. Create a Pull request giving an explanation of why these changes are needed:

Pull

  1. If the VFB Team agrees, your pull request will be accepted and merged.

Typos or other trivial changes

If you spot a documentation typo or would like to propose some other trivial change to a file, as long you are signed in to github you can edit the file directly in your web browser exactly as if you owned it using the edit button (located just above the file's content):

Github will then magically create a pull request to the VFB team asking them to incorporate your changes.
