Hello,

I wonder if "commentator" is not more accurate than "commenter" which seems to not exist:

Thanks for your contribution. Not to nitpick, but Marriam-Webster, another prominent English dictionary, has a listing for commenter.

I defer to the judgement of other copy editors :)

Hello! It's hard for me to suggest whether "commenter" or "commentator" is best here as I need more info. Can you provide more context? Is this for the translation of something?

In general, Merriam-Webster is a primary dictionary we use for copy/style edits at Automattic. Both "commenter" and "commentator" are indeed words: the former typically refers to a person that leaves a comment on a blog/site or engages in a discussion, while the latter generally refers to a person that comments during an event (sports or other game, political debate, etc.).

Commenter makes more sense in this context, that's my opinion.

Hi @skorasaurus, can we have the "needs copy review" label removed from this PR? It keeps popping up as needing attention in our Slack channel. Thank in advance!

Upon second review as a native English speaker, I believe commenter is more appropriate.
