Make it easier to launch our examples and diagnostic tools.
There are many very useful test applications that are just hidden from view. (ie: all the exe tools installed with the win32 binaries)

Provide a subcommand and a GUI for this.

Started in r24881 + r24882.

Still TODO:

• many examples look wrong under wayland because GTK3 under wayland breaks the window geometry + paint API
• add a harness to catch and show launch errors (ie: opengl test failures), most useful on win32
• theme is missing from win32 bundle, shows default icons in header bar
• win32 needs a script runner command
• add more scripts from the tests apps folder
• opengl test rendering
• audio playback and capture tests
• clipboard tool
• keyboard, webcam
• display info
• test images + force encoding, quality and speed (via window props)
• remove most of the win32 exe wrappers and macos helpers? (can always use toolbox to launch them)
• man page, etc

Updates:

• r24887: show toolbox button on main gui screen
• r24885: opengl rendering test tool, keyboard and clipboard tests
• r24887: add buttons for launching toolbox from the main gui header bar
• r24893: win32 workarounds

It currently looks like this on win32 (with local icon theme so icons do show up...):
