Hi!

With the DASH disabled, can not view videos in full hd and all the resolutions available for a determined video. Like this for example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5_GlAOCHyE

I'm using Google Chrome.

Hugs!

Thanks! But it would be interesting to have the resolutions with the DASH off, no? :(

use custom buffer and a high value. not sure if it helps though...

How should I interpret the buffer size? Default value is some insane number, like 583627025170 B, which is like 550 GB, which doesn't seem right. And even with DASH on, I am not able to get more than 360p.

It's not a bug. Since they're only available in dash format it's natural. Don't disable DASH.

Did youtube change something recently? It worked a few days ago, even with DASH off.

Nope it didn't. It doesn't work since around September...

Hmm, I was pretty sure I had DASH off, but maybe I haven't after all. But I was definitely able to watch 720p, but I could not watch 1080p though. I usually didn't want to so it didn't bother me that much, but now that I think about it, it didn't let me switch to 1080p even if the video was supposed to be on 1080p.
But I did a pc reinstallation yesterday and since then I'm not able to watch above 360p even with DASH on.

720p should be available with high enough resolution videos. That and 360p are the only ones remaining that aren't dash formats.

I managed to get the 720p by turning off forced HTML5 player, letting youtube use flash whenever it needs. The problem is that Flash player is really horrible making the video all jittery and bad. (it may not be that much of a problem for most people, but I'm one of those, who is able to see it). However I'm able to download 720p video (and play it offline with MPC-HC in all its glorious smoothness) with YouTube Center. Isn't it possible for YTC to use this 720p file, I'm able to download, directly when forcing HTML5 player?
