Iper Studio

Welcome to the Art and Pictures Appraisal repository! This application allows users to sign in, upload pictures or artworks, and receive appraisals from other users in the community. It's a great platform for artists and art enthusiasts to connect and get feedback on their creations.

The backend for iPer is powered by Sanity.io. Sanity.io is a headless CMS that provides a flexible and customizable content management system for modern applications.

Getting Started

These instructions will help you set up a local development environment to run the Art and Pictures Appraisal application.

Prerequisites

To run this application, you need to have the following installed on your system:

• Node.js
• npm (Node Package Manager)
• sanity
• sanity-cli

Local Installation

1. git clone https://github.com/detrinity27/iper-studio.git

2. Navigate to the project Front end directory: cd Iper_Frontend

3. Install the dependencies: npm install

4. Navigate to the project Back End directory: cd Iper_Backend

• for sanity setup :

  • Read “getting started” in the docs

  • Check out one of the example frontends: React

5. After setup, open terminal and run npm run dev in the back-end directory

6. navigate to the front end directory in the terminal and run npm start

7. The application should now be running on http://localhost:3000. enjoy!!!!

Usage

• visit https://iperstudio.netlify.app/

User Registration

• Access the iPer website at https://iperstudio.netlify.app/.

• sign up / sign in with your google account

Uploading Artworks

• After logging in, you will be redirected to the dashboard.

• Click on the "+" button at the top right coner to start the artwork (ipe) upload process.

• Provide the necessary details for your artwork (ipe), such as title, description, url to your other artwork, category and upload an image file.

• Click "save" to upload the artwork (ipe).

Appraisal

• Browse the available artworks (ipes) on the dashboard.

• Click on an artwork to view its details.

• Leave an appraisal or feedback by providing comments .

• Click "comment" to post your appraisal.
