UoA MediaplayerPlus

Various improvements to the new UoA mediaplayer (mediaplayer.auckland.ac.nz).

Features

  • Adds a download button for watching lectures offline
  • Adds in Keyboard shortcuts:
    • 'L' to seek forwards and 'J' to seek backwards
    • 'K' or 'Spacebar' to play/pause
    • 'F' to enter/exit fullscreen
    • '>' to speed up and '<' to slow down
  • Automatically skips the copyright notice
  • Various other fixes and improvements

Important Note

This plugin only works with videos that are in the mediaplayer.auckland.ac.nz format not the mediastore.auckland.ac.nz one. If the plugin does not work on a video, check to see if the link is a mediaplayer one. If not, you can try to change mediastore to mediaplayer in the address bar, as this often works.

We will be working on removing this limitation in the near future, so that the plugin will work with both mediaplayer and mediastore videos!
