I wanted this in a personal project to separate two between fields with " and " or " - ", for example.

Add an optional ":join" parameter to multiparameter_field
If specified, the fields will be separated by the supplied value.

I'm not sure this is the right way to approach. Most likely this should have followed in the footsteps of the checks helpers, and take a block where you then render each field as you like.
