Setup Instructions #3
Comments
ah nice ok, just rename the folder to "PlexNFO.bundle" |
I don't get what exactly were supposed to even put into the plugin folder, because there really aren't any instructions that detail which file or object is supposed to go in there, and nothing contained in the entire compressed folder is a .bundle file that would suggest it is the right file/object we need to put into the plugin folder to install it. Is there anyway you can be more specific with your instructions? |
Hi @gkennedy88 - for now just follow the instructions for manual installation here: |
Ok I think I've figured out how to actually do it. As in to put it into the
plugin folder and make it work.
The only thing is I did experience a bit of a bug I think because it didn't
immediately import the info from the nfo file, but when I clicked on
refresh metadata it did import the info in from the nfo file, but then on
the next video file when I went to do the same thing as soon as I clicked
update metadata Plex like backed me out of the videos info screen and the
video disappeared from the Plex display all together for some reason. I
couldn't figure out why telling it to update metadata and it trying to pull
from the nfo file would make it disappear from the display so I checked to
make sure the nfo file was like formatted the exact same way as the one
that did work, and they looked exactly the same to me, so I'm not sure
what's going on with it.
Sorry I know you probably don't care about someone else's project, but I
thought I'd mention it because it's based off yours.

Be aware that this plugin is highly experimental.

Please disregard the ending of that last email, I had misunderstood who had
sent me the email and thought because you mentioned the
https://github.com/gboudreau/XBMCnfoMoviesImporter.bundle project that it
was the creator of that project who had emailed me rather than you, so I
went back and corrected most of the email but forgot about the last
paragraph lol.

No worries. If there is anything concrete you figure out let me know and I will check if there is anything in the code plugin that needs to be corrected. Pls open a new Issue for that. |
Ok will do thanks.

I will keep this Issue open as a right observation that this repo has no
information about how to install the plugin.

Hi, do I miss something? How to install this plugin?
Plugin folder does not recognise it.
Cheers
Mike
